“That is yoga,” [people] think,
When the restraint of the senses is steady.

For yoga is both the origin and the dissolution.

Rest as Ritual: a Yoga Nidra Immersion and Training
Rest as Ritual is an invitation to experience yoga nidra not merely as a technique, but as an experiential doorway into the deepest states of consciousness. This immersion with beloved teacher Rhia Robinson guides you beyond understanding into intimacy with the practice—where deep rest becomes a sacred act, and stillness a form of knowing. Rooted in tradition, the curriculum explores the essential foundations of yoga nidra while gently leading you into its subtler dimensions: preparation, healing, transformation, self-inquiry, the power of sankalpa (sacred resolve) and yoga nidra as a spiritual path. Through embodied exploration, you will increasingly enter the true state of yoga nidra—where spacious awareness, presence, and profound restoration unfold naturally.
Designed for those seeking an alternative to seated meditation—and a deeper approach to nervous system regulation, recovery and well-being—this experience weaves together contemplative wisdom and embodied practice. For those who wish to share this work, the final (optional) session offers practical tools to transmit yoga nidra with authenticity, depth and grace.
Rest becomes ritual, presence becomes medicine, and transmission becomes a living expression of the state itself. This immersion is not about reading scripts or performing relaxation; it is the art of guiding yourself and others into the deepest layers of consciousness, where healing, clarity and renewal arise.
You will explore:
- Distinct intentions and applications of yoga nidra practice
- Skillful preparation as the foundation for deep states of rest
- Subtle body maps, including the Vedantic model of the mind and the koshas
- The four states of consciousness and their relationship to brainwave patterns
- The art and architecture of yoga nidra sequencing
Logistics
Immersion dates, all Saturday:
- September 12 & 19
- October 3, 10 & 17
Teacher training:
November 7 *training weekend for those who wish to teach Yoga Nidra
All dates meet from 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Teacher Development
The Series Architect: From Single Flow to Multi Week Journey - An 8-Hour Continuing Education Intensive for Yoga Teachers with Kelsey Konsen
Why This Course?
For the Teacher: Reduce Burnout, Spark Longevity
Creative Efficiency: Learn how to work smarter, not harder by using a single “Big Idea” as the foundation for multiple classes.
Confidence in the Seat: Eliminate the Sunday-night challenge of “what am I teaching tomorrow?” with a clear, strategic roadmap already in place.
Artistic Renewal: Rediscover your voice by diving deep into specific frameworks (Skill, Pose, Theme, or Intensity) that interest you, rather than chasing trends.
For the Student: Deeper Learning & Tangible Success
Skill Mastery: Give your students the repetition they need to understand a pose. Long-form sequencing allows for the incremental layers of strength and mobility that a single 60-minute class cannot provide.
The Power of Familiarity: Repetition builds confidence. When students recognize a sequence, they can move out of their thinking brain and deeper into the experience of the practice.
Visible Progress: Students stay motivated when they can feel themselves getting stronger and more mobile over a dedicated multi class arc.
What We Will Cover
The Blueprint for Breakdown: Participate in a 75-minute master practice and then “reverse-engineer” it to see the architecture behind the flow.
Identifying Your “Big Idea”: Move past generic cues. Learn to pinpoint the specific anatomical, philosophical, or functional focus that will anchor your series.
The 4 Frameworks of Sequencing: Master the use of Skill-Based, Pose-Based, Theme-Based, and Intensity-Based models to keep your teaching diverse yet focused.
Pose Anatomy & Component Parts: Learn to “rip a pose apart” to understand its requirements (What needs to open? What needs to be strengthen?) and how to layer those elements over several weeks.
The Arc of the Series: Design a multi week curriculum using the Foundation →Development → Integration model, ensuring your students are supported at every stage.
Course Objectives
By the end of this day, you will be able to:
- Clarify a “Big Idea” that resonates with your unique teaching style.
- Develop a multi-week series that builds logically from week to week.
- Select the most effective framework to serve your students’ specific goals.
- Articulate the “Why” behind your transitions and drills to deepen student buy-in.
- Leave with a fully sketched multi week series ready to be implemented in your next class cycle.
